Dr. Jeff Berger, OD

Born and raised in Colorado, Dr. Jeff Berger grew up in the south Metro area, developing a deep connection to the state and its communities. After completing his undergraduate degree at Colorado State University, Dr. Berger pursued his passion for eye care at the Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, where he graduated magna cum laude. In 2010, he founded his own practice in Erie, Colorado, which later became part of Carbon Valley Eye Care. After successfully leading the practice, he sold his portion in 2023 to prioritize a flexible schedule and spend more time with his school-age children. Since 2024, Dr. Berger has proudly provided regular clinic coverage at The Optical Centre.

Dr. Berger is a fellow of the Optometric Vision Development & Rehabilitation Association, reflecting his specialized interest in pediatric vision care and vision rehabilitation. His expertise extends to the highest level of certification permitted in Colorado, where he has performed numerous glaucoma laser procedures.

He regularly manages complex eye conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease. Dr. Berger also works closely with local surgeons to co-manage refractive and cataract surgeries, ensuring his patients receive comprehensive, coordinated care.

Dr. Berger enjoys various hobbies outside work, including running, aviation, billiards, martial arts, and scuba diving. Active in his community, he has served on the local Chamber of Commerce board and several HOAs. Dr. Berger currently lives in Firestone, Colorado, with his wife, Leslie, and their two children and remains committed to making a positive impact both in and out of the office.
