Jeff Berger

​​​​​​​A Colorado native, Dr. Jeff Berger grew up in the south Metro area. After completing an undergraduate degree at Colorado State University, he attended optometry school at Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry, where he graduated magna cum laude. He opened a practice in Erie, Colorado in 2010, which later merged to form Carbon Valley Eye Care. In 2023, he sold his portion of the practice to have more flexibility of scheduling with his school-age children. He has provided regular clinic coverage at The Optical Centre since 2024.


A fellow of the Optometric Vision Development & Rehabilitation Association, Dr. Berger has a specific interest in pediatric vision and vision rehabilitation. He is certified at the highest level allowed in Colorado and has performed numerous glaucoma laser procedures. He regularly manages ocular disease, including glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, and diabetic eye disease. He also co-manages refractive and cataract surgeries in conjunction with local surgeons.

When he is not with his family or patients, Dr. Berger pursues a variety of hobbies, including running, aviation, billiards, martial arts, and scuba diving. He is also active in the community, having served on the board of a local Chamber of Commerce and HOAs. He lives in Firestone, Colorado, with his wife, Leslie, and their two children.
